Agricultural Coordinator ~ Child Fund

Child Fund Aceh, an international non-government organization working for the well-being of children, is looking for qualified candidates to fill in the following position.
Agriculture Coordinator, 1 position , Based in Teunom, Bireuen

Position Summary:
The major responsibilities include the followings.
· In close consultation with International Agricultural Specialist (if available), coordinate the overall agricultural activities of the project in the command districts both in East Coast and West Coast areas.
· Identify the needs of the community and plan for the required agricultural interventions to be made in the command areas.
· Implement, supervise and report all the agricultural programs of the project following the Project's work plan, budget availability and mandates.
· Taking an innovative lead in demonstrating the appropriate agricultural technologies and promote for the wider adoption by the communities.
· Leading the considerations of suitable crops diversification efforts.
· Build the capacity of other national staff of the project related to agriculture component and of farming families in the command area.
· Support the Project team in identifying/ developing suitable Community based Organization in the command villages, capacitate the mon relevant topics and mobilize them in implementing livelihoods based activities.
· Provide technical advice and guidance to staff, to CBOs and to the farming families on regular basis.
· Maintaining a close liaison with concerned Government's LineAgencies and with the other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
· University degree in Agriculture (preferably Masters Degree inAgriculture) .
· At least five years of experience of planning, implementing, supervising and reporting of agricultural activities independently.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in BahasaIndonesia and English, and knowledge of local language (Bahasa Aceh) isdesirable
· Understanding of child protection issues desirable
· Willing and able to visit frequently in the command villages inboth East Coast (50%) and West Coast (50%) areas.
