Program Manager ~ Save the Children

Save the Children is a leading non-profit humanitarian relief and development organization working in more than 127 countries throughout the world. Our mission is to create lasting, positive change in the lives of children in need. Currently Save the Children has an immediate need for experienced staff to be a part of our team in Nias, North Sumatra.

Program Manager (code: NPM)

The incumbent will provide overall management of the Save the Children’s program and office in Nias. Lead, support, manage and motivate team members and – in coordination with the Program Manager Java/Sumatra - will take responsibility for all people management related issues for the emergency program, ensuring that team members have clear objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performance.

Requirements:

Master Degree or equivalent experience in management or technical field.
At least 6 (six) years experience in the planning, implementing, managing and monitoring programs.
Experience in budgeting and management and control of finance.
Experience in proposal writing and donor reporting.
Ability to work with limited supporting resources.
Substantial knowledge, experience and skills in project cycle management, including needs assessment, planning, implementing and monitoring, review and evaluation.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with experience in cross-cultural settings.
Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HTML.
Commitment to Save the Children’s mission and values.
Fluency in written and spoken English and good speaking skills in Bahasa Indonesia.
Excellent representation, interpersonal skills and pleasant personality.
